Hello everyone. Long time, no post.

I've been very busy lately, but I still check in to the goo game every couple of days. I've been out of the running to win the game ever since I went on vacation in November, but I think I'm making a respectable showing!

I post today because my co-bloggers and I have redesigned Begging To Differ and we're spreading the word. New features include a rotating photo banner - we have about 120 banners. Each time you visit the site you'll see one that is randomly generated. I still sometimes just sit there are refresh the page to look at the different pictures.

The other major change is that we have added an open discussion forum. It's very much like Tragic Comedy in the sense that it is an open forum, but completely different in the sense that we're using generic freeware instead of Scott's customized brilliance. Anyway, the theory of the forum is the same as the blog. The idea is to bring a diverse collection of people together to politely debate the issues of the day.

I realize no one probably needs a new online community, but I am inviting you anyway because this is such a unique and impressive corner of the internet. You've all been kind enough to tolerate me with aplomb, and I would love to have a chance to return the favor. I hope at least a few of you will drop in and have a look around. If the mood strikes, please do register and participate in the discussion! The site would be improved by the presence of any of you.

Here's a link to the post with the details and links to the new forum. (And don't forget to refresh to see a few of the banners!

I saw the BTD Forum introduced on your site a few hours before you posted this, Steve. I think it's a great idea, as many posts on BTD have an active comments section anyway. Plus you seem to be gaining new authors faster than the Library of Congress. :-) For reasons of my own, I only lurk on BTD, so I probably won't participate, but I'll read a few times a week like I do the blog.

I've decided against my participation as well - I made a few posts, but I don't think the forum is for me.
