Big Hero 6
2014
In this animated adventure, genius robotics engineer Hiro Hamada finds himself enmeshed in a nefarious scheme to wipe out the city of San Fransokyo. Accompanied by his robot best friend, Hero joins a ragtag team intent on saving the City by the Bay.

Scott Hardie: “It ruled.”

Fun little movie. There's so much detail crammed into every shot. The movie belongs to Hiro and Baymax; the other four heroes are so barely developed that it feels like they should have been cut from the final draft. Disney was wise to remove the Marvel logo from appearing anywhere on this because it would have been terribly confusing for audiences. The plot twists are standard for a kids movie and hold no surprises, but the animation and minor details are delightful.
