Tammy
2014
Pushed to the limit after losing her job and discovering her husband's been cheating on her, Tammy agrees to flee town with her alcoholic grandmother. Their destination is Niagara Falls, but the journey offers some unexpected pit stops.

Samir Mehta: “It was ok.”

Really really enjoyed this movie. I've always wanted to see McCarthy tackle a more emotional role (especially after seeing glimmers of her vulnerable side in Bridesmaids). She delivers. The movie is a bit slight but often excellent. If it had the courage to let her be a little less wacky and more realistic, this could have soared. As it is, it is a good reminder of what a performer she is.

Evie Totty: “It ruled.”

Well. More toward the 'ok' side as I likely won't see this again for a while. However Melissa M delivers it again. And loved Susan as her grandmother.

I was afraid I was too much like her grandmother. But my friends all say Tammy is more like me. They can totally see me licking some buns.
