My grades are in. That sociology teacher I ranted about last week gave me a C, instead of a B like she told me. Still better than an F, I suppose. Other grades: B in myths & legends, A in fiction workshop, A in nonfiction workshop, and A on my senior project. I'm pretty happy with it overall for two reasons: First, it's a 3.31 GPA, my highest in all of college. My next highest was a 3.00 my very first semester, fall 1996. Second, my final GPA at the end of college is a perfect 2.50. I'd spent the past few years hovering just below that, and I'd hoped to bring it to or above 2.50 before I finished. And now I have.

It felt good to revisit past editions of the goo game this week! I wondered if I should write something each day, but being offline would have prevented me from keeping up with it. Go »

Decidedly Undecided

We're only beginning the next presidential election season (something that actually used to be one season, and is now a two-year marathon), so this nuisance is still a long way from coming up, but I dread it all the same. Go »

When You Wish Upon a Death Star

What do you make of Disney's surprise acquisition of the Star Wars brand? Judging from Facebook, a lot of people seem to fear that Disney will somehow make the series crappy, as if George Lucas wasn't already doing that with the wooden prequels and his endless altercations to the originals. Go »

No Credit, Bad Credit: No Problem?

Well, we saw the inside of the house today. The landlady was very friendly and showed us around, pointing out things that we wouldn't have seen, and then let us roam free. Go »
