Dumbass

I think the reaction would have been about the same if the guy had been killed or serious wounded by jumping like that. It bugs me when human suffering is portrayed as tragic when the people stupidly brought it on themselves. I have zero sympathy for mountain climbers, for instance. :-)

Now, call me a hypocrite... but in this instance, I would have to agree -- this guy obviously assessed the risk (the article even says they discussed it beforehand -- it wasn't a total impulse) and assessed it poorly (not only judging it to be safe for himself, but clearly ignoring the possibility of injuring and/or killing others!)... and I don't know, but somehow I think even a pre-teen (albeit a sober one... which I suspect that he wasn't, even though the article didn't say) would have a better sense of self-preservation than this. Like I said... call me a "hypocrite": it's so easy to judge... not as easy to be judged.

Wait, maybe he had gotten high by strangling himself before he jumped into the net.

Sox ain't winning the world series though... neither are the Yankees... My pick is Houston. I wished they had him jumping caught on TV... it was great.

After they lost 7 in a row? After they lost 2 to the Yankees? I thought all true Chicagoans were Cubs fans anyways???

I've never been to Wrigley, was at a game at New Comiskey a few years ago (I refuse to call it by the name Corporate America has given it). I didn't realize Wrigleyville was becoming the "place to be" NYC is really shifting. More young people are moving to Park Slope and Brooklyn Heights, making these areas really trendy.
