The Fall season is here!!!!!!! I want to tell everyone on this upcoming round that again we have a lot of great members. I know members are gonna be trying there best to try to get a perfect round and a well deserved victory in the tournament. Everyone played very well in the last round. I have said once and I will say it again. We have great competitors playing this game and those members are going to fight there way to the end of this round and solve these goo's as fast as they can in the tournament. I will be rooting for everyone in this round to complete a perfect round!!!!!!My goal in this fall season is to try to get a perfect round even if I don't win the tournament. I never go into the tournament expecting to win. Just like last round I had to faceoff against great competition and try to beat them and I failed to do so. I gave it my all and to me I played good but that round the best members beat me. Everyone have fun and enjoy this round!!!!!! Good Luck to all members :D.

I'm looking forward to it! I've been thinking a lot about the goo game and talking to some players. (Thanks again, if I heard from you.) Two main ideas have been on my mind:

- Elimination sucks. Someone wisely brought this up regarding the last Pirate Paradise event and it's true in the goo game too. I toyed with ideas like keeping all players in for all three weeks of the tournament and crowning a winner based on fastest average time, but the conditions necessary to make that work would just be too complicated and weird. I will someday switch to another scoring system, but we have a pretty good one already and it shouldn't go away any time soon, despite elimination being no fun.

- Tournament goos are better when they're harder. The first week of the tournament was decided solely by quickness, with some players able to solve within seconds. The second week's goos demanded a lot more effort to solve and felt fairer, because skill and determination played a real part. I don't think the goos should become quite as hard as the Movies goo on August 27, but generally I plan to aim higher on difficulty than I have, in the interest of fairness.

We have one small rule change this season, that any pending guesses on tournament goos will not display their solve times. Chris, thanks.

If anybody's still going for a perfect score on the summer season, they have until midnight tonight. I'll tabulate them all in the morning. Enjoy the day off tomorrow if you have one, and good luck in the fall season!
