We just got our first puppy! He is a sheltie named Philip. He likes to chase mops. It's hilarious. Lousy quality quicktime video here: (link)

Anyway he is a great puppy. He's not potty trained yet so it makes my day if he poops outside. It's never been so easy to make my day before :)

Awww, I want to see him! Congrats!

But I can't open the file - 3g2?

Denise Sawicki | March 31, 2006
Thanks Anna! Yeah it seemed like a weird file extension but it opened OK for me with Quicktime, which I somehow already had on 2 computers. I am sooo not an expert on these things... it says:

"To play video messages sent to email, QuickTime 6.5 or higher is
required. Visit www.apple.com/quicktime/download to download the free player
or upgrade your existing QuickTime Player. Note: During the download
process when asked to choose an installation type (Minimum, Recommended
or Custom), select Minimum for faster download."

My brother-in-law recorded the video on his cell phone... we don't have a working webcam but will develop some real pictures eventually.

Ahh, ok, that explains it. I'm at work and we don't have Quicktime. I'll check it again from home.

Yay, puppes! I'm jealous.

This the only picture of him we have right now. We'll have more once we manage to use up a whole roll of film, get to a scanner, and upload them, etc, which may take a while!

As you can see, Darrin has been having some fun with his new cell phone.

Heeheehee... who doesn't love a puppy, especially a playful one! I can SOOO relate to the mop-chasing -- with my two, it's anything that makes motor sounds (e.g., vaccuum cleaner, power tools)... it's impossible to vaccuum anything around them, between not getting the attachment out of their mouths and trying to "scold" them (at least tell them to STOP IT!) while laughing my ass off!!! ;-DDD

He's three months old and he knows the following tricks on command: sit, stand up, lie down, shake hands, stay, come, turn a circle, jump through the hoop, and roll over! He also knows how to heel fairly well.. He's a genius, in other words. :) He's totally adorable when he rolls over. He won't necessarily do his tricks unless he thinks he'll get a treat out of it, but he knows them pretty well..
