Agreed. It's a shock when someone young and so full of potential passes away so suddenly. I mourn for his family and friends and team and city.
Sorry for the trouble with the accent marks, Chris. I've needed to fix the handling of those for a long time.

No problem. I really hate to see a good player have that happened to. It's sad when someone that young passes. But ik he will keep his team strong and watch above them

I read that he just announced last week that his girlfriend was expecting their first child. It's like a tragedy you only see in movies.
Will the Marlins retire his jersey? I know it's customary for the longtime high-career-achievement players after retirement; I don't know whether it's customary for star players struck down in their youth.

Very sad news for the Miami Marlins this morning, Jose Fernandez was found dead in a boating accident. Very sad news for the family and the organization. He was the Marlins star pitcher. This young man was to young to die. This is hard for someone that young and that talent in baseball die. May Jose Fernandez R.I.P and condolence go out to his family and friends.
