I enjoy Rock Block matches, and i admittingly don't issue enough challenges mostly accept them, and as such I realized I tend to go first all the time. . Has there ever been talk of a randomizer, so despite who issues the challenge, whoever goes first is somewhat up in the air?

Wouldn't make a huge difference, but it might be a nice subtle change.

Jon, look under Achievements in Rock Block. It will tell you what you need to do to unlock some handy play rules. You may find what you are looking for there.

I would also suggest that while you are fairly new to the game, go to "Heaven and Hell" and defeat the Devil and the Angel.

One of the core ideas of the game is that the challenger's advantage is supposed to be declaring the rules and conditions that favor them, while the defender's advantage is to have the first play and last play. Some players consider the defender's advantage to be much greater, but the idea is that they're supposed to be roughly even. Having a randomizer would defeat that balance, giving more power to the challenger. Or it could all just be a game we play for fun without worrying about such finer points of fairness. :-)

Anyway, Russ is right, there are a lot of features in the game to be unlocked under Achievements, all of which have to be done in regular concerts (not themes or tournaments) unless stated otherwise. "Win ten concerts," "defeat Steve West," and "swap ten cards" are excellent places to start.
