Them: "Could we schedule an appointment for next week?"

Me: "Sure. I'm free Monday after 1pm, or all day Wednesday and Thursday. Please get back to me with any time on one of those days and I'll be there. Thanks!"

Them: "How about Wednesday? Does that work for you?"

(sigh)

Look. The world is on fire. A lot of things suck. I don't want to lose perspective.

But maybe that's why this grates even more. Must even this tiny inconvenience happen? Can I just have one little thing in life that's not harder than it has to be?

It wouldn't bother me if it didn't happen over and over again with a variety of people and companies. I'd blame dumb A.I. scheduling bots if I didn't know most of the humans to whom I was writing.

(sigh)

Me: "Sure. Wednesday's fine. Please pick any time."
