Indeed. Here in the vicinity of Tampa, news coverage of the passing, then false alarm, then hospitalization, then near-death, then actual passing, then mourning of Lee Roy Selmon has been non-stop. Selmon seemed like a good person off the field, loyal to his community and generous with charity work. It's too bad that the lousy restaurant chain named after him is the thing he'll be remembered by in the years to come.

Early this morning the St.Louis Blues have lost one of the ex Blues Pavol Demitra and Igor Korolev. They died in a private jet landed in the Volga River immediately after leaving the airport near the western city of Yaroslavl. I want to send my condolences to the families of the hockey players that were on that jet. 43 players from the KHL died in the crash.......R.I.P
