Agreed. You're insightful. We talk a lot about living in personal media bubbles, in which we only consume the media that supports our own existing viewpoints. We don't talk enough about simply having different life experiences. Those who disagree with you are assumed to have an agenda, when in fact they are simply informed by a different set of life experiences. We should do a lot less shouting-down and blocking-out and a lot more listening to each other.
