Tandy leather is a great place for buying leather. There is a warehouse store in Elgin, though it's kinda hard to find, its the best leather store around (that area, at least). I made a belt from supplies I bought from a Tandy down here recently, and I recommend getting buying th wholesale club discount (buy one get one free craftool every month) and discount prices.
