I like that! I have considered allowing some optional play rules in themes, like instead of having 3 rules on and all others off, you might have 1 on and 5 maybe (up to the challenger) and the rest off. That way, the concept of the theme is preserved, while players still have some flexibility. As for these decade themes, they're almost entirely about the artists, not about the combination of play rules, so they make the best argument for maybe allowing any play rule in a theme.

What are your thoughts on allowing for "Decades" in a theme like this? Might make for some interesting play choices if you had no choice but to play a card on a location that will lose you points.
