Erik Bates: “It ruled.”

I recently got hooked on the Demon Slayer anime series thanks to my niece who is obsessed with it. After binging every episode of it over the course of 2 weeks, and then surprisingly finding out that there was a new movie coming out, I just had to go see it.

For starters, the animation and artwork of this series has been nothing short of spectacular. The dubbed voice actors are phenomenal, as well. The storyline is engaging and emotional. The fight scenes are intense.

They will likely split this movie (and the next two!) into individual episodes, similar to what they did with the Mugen Train movie that turned into a several episode arc.

Scott Hardie: I don't watch much anime*, so if I've heard of a series, it must be popular and thus pretty good. I've heard nothing but raves about Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and fans seem to be pumped that their numbers are swelling thanks to this movie. I'm glad that you enjoyed it!

*That said, Kelly did just convince me to watch the (brief) complete run of Bee and PuppyCat across YouTube and Netflix, and it was adorable. − September 24, 2025 • more by Scott
