Evie Totty: “It was ok.”

Caveat: I have not watched the series

I did like it though. I give the filmmakers credit: they spent the first five minutes or so giving the audience background in case they had NOT seen the series. I went with my friend Luci who had and had desired seeing the film.

It certainly makes me want to go back and watch the series (even though I know what has happened to everyone!)

Erik Bates: “It ruled.”

I’m a sucker for this show. I’ll gladly admit I got chills when I heard the theme playing in a big screen theater.

Samir Mehta: “It ruled.”

I was always ambivalent about the show. I watched all of it and found that it meandered quite a bit, especially late. This film had a good sense to do the best of the series - treat it as an ensemble story - rather than the worst of the series - make it the Mary show. The film worked well, juggling the many characters and settings, and had both the levity and drama that fans expect. Solid.
