Scott Hardie: Tom Cruise's sins as a celebrity have been pretty minor compared to those of many others, but the public still wants little to do with him after all of these years. I think he was so big for so long, and he was sold to us so aggressively by Hollywood for so long, that we're just collectively burned out on him.
It's a shame that this movie lost money, since it's getting very rare for studios to invest in a big original movie driven by ideas and not by a known franchise brand name, and this loss is going to make it rarer. − January 3, 2015 • more by Scott
