Erik Bates: “It ruled.”
Rock and Roll fun from beginning to end. Having never seen the Broadway musical on which this was based, I don't know, nor do I care if it was true to the original. Movies like this are all about the soundtrack, really. As a fan of the 80's, I was very, very entertained.
A line I thought I'd never have to say:
The sexual tension between Alec Baldwin and Russel Brand was absolutely hilarious.

Samir Mehta: “It sucked.”
Boo. Leaden lead cast, terrible writing and jokes, and surprisingly bad singing and dancing for a musical. Just a chore to watch all around.
