Looper
2012
In the year 2042, Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is a Looper, a hired assassin for the mob who kills people sent from the future. But what will he do when the mob decides to "close the loop," sending back Joe's future self (Bruce Willis) for assassination?

Evie Totty: “It was ok.”

I don't know, I believe most people probably thought 'It Ruled' but I didn't. I'm a huge time nerd and there were just too many holes in this for me to get past some of the time things... even if I say to myself 'Ok it's the Deja Vu thing' that I learned from the movie Deja Vu. And even that is hard for me to accept.

Anyway, regardless of that this film was being touted as the 'Next Matrix' which it clearly was not. I did adore JGL in this film though.

I do have the feeling however that when I see this film again (which I plan to do at some point on DVD or whatever) ... I'll enjoy it more.

Scott Hardie: “It ruled.”

It was good, but I probably would have liked it more if not for the hypekill. The movie felt like it started with more ideas than it knew what to do with, so it picked a couple to narrow in on, and the anticlimactic ending felt like it had to happen only because the movie had painted itself into that particular corner. What began with a wealth of ideas ended with a dearth of them. At least it had good action, thought-provoking sci-fi, and great dialogue.
