Sea of Love
1989
Burned-out NYPD detective Frank Keller is on the hunt for a serial killer who uses personal ads to attract potential victims. Unfortunately, he falls hard for Helen, the alluring top suspect in the case.

Scott Hardie: “It ruled.”

Pretty good thriller. Al Pacino is always mesmerizing. Ellen Barkin and John Goodman are sexy and funny; you can guess which. I would have been dissatisfied if I had wanted a solid police procedural; it's better experienced as a walk in Pacino's soulful shoes for two hours.
