Samir Mehta: “It ruled.”
Wow. Another Soderbergh masterpiece. Soderbergh and Ang Lee are secretly laying claim as the best non-Spielberg American directors going today. Soderbergh wins in his typical way - he mixes rich characterization and thoughtful social criticism with a freaking amazing potboiler of a plot. Just fantastic work, Rooney Mara is better than she was in the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and I didn't hate Channing Tatum. Jude Law is terrific as is Catherine Zeta Jones. Must see.
