Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse

Evie Totty: “It ruled.”
I LOVED this movie! One of the best movies of the year and arguably the best Spider-Man movie ever made. (Though I still have the Sam Raimi Spider-Man 2 as a personal favorite)
The animation is cutting-edge and the story is fresh. I saw it twice - do yourself a favor and check it out, esp if you love the MCU

Scott Hardie: “It ruled.”
What a fun movie! Among all superheroes, Spider-Man has a unique way of moving and fighting, one that's hard to recreate off of the comic book page. This movie, which was effectively rotoscoped on top of 3-D animation, lets the camera move around freely in the action, capturing a lot of the character's freedom of movement better than I've seen on screen before. The vocal cameos and jokes were pretty great too. That said, I'm very tired of Spider-Man origin stories at this point -- Miles Morales might have a different name and racial identity than Peter Parker, but his teenage woes as portrayed in this film are basically the same shit for the millionth time. I'm really ready for the adventures of an adult Spider-Man who has left teenage awkwardness behind.
