The ABCs of Death
Scott Hardie: “It was ok.”
Any anthology of 26 short films is due to be a mixed bag, especially when they're experimental horror films. Some of the shorts are impressive, like the brutal slow-motion D is for Dogfight or the breathtakingly sad P is for Pressure. Others are too weird to like but at least look awesome, like the cartoonish H is for Hydro-Electric Diffusion or the gory X is for XXL. A few were just lazy and uninspired, like the predictable M is for Miscarriage and dull A is for Apocalypse. Overall the set was so-so, and whether it's worth seeing depends on your interest in (and tolerance for) pretentious short horror films.
Want to skip to the good stuff? These are the titles that I recommend: C is for Cycle, D is for Dogfight, F is for Fart, H is for Hydro-Electric Diffusion, L is for Libido, P is for Pressure, S is for Speed, T is for Toilet, V is for Vagitus, and X is for XXL.
