The Oxford Murders
2010
After Oxford logic professor Arthur Seldom and his new graduate student Martin discover a dead woman, they get involved in trying to solve a string of homicides in which the killer marked each victim's body with cryptic mathematical symbols.

Scott Hardie: “It sucked.”

A math professor & student solve murders. Their philosophical debates are fascinating. The rest of the movie is painfully bad, all stilted dialogue and bizarre characterization. It's The Da Vinci Code except unwatchable between the cerebral parts.
