Evie Totty: “It ruled.”
I'm actually torn between 'It ruled' and 'It's ok'.
It starts out just action jam-packed. I found myself holding my breath more than once. I screamed out a couple of times and uttered 'Damn' pretty loud.
Act 2 in Israel kind of confused me. You see, Jerusalem made it through the initial fall due to the walls they'd built. They showed copters patrolling said walls, but when it was evident it was going to be breached none of those copters were around? Really?
Act 3 isn't as action-y but it has it's own story so I think as long as you don't expect it to match the first Act, you'll be ok.
Once a solution was found, I was like 'Oooooh ok yeah'. I thought it was cool I didn't figure it out myself.
I will say I haven't read the book so I can't be disappointed on that end. I don't feel an urge to see it again either so on my own scale it's a 'See Once'.This review contains spoilers. Reveal it.

Erik Bates: “It ruled.”
Pretty sure the only similarities between the movie and the book were 1) Zombies, and 2) Israel.
That aside, this was a damn good movie, and with the wealth of stories from the novel that could be expanded upon, you could almost create an entire movie franchise. I wouldn't mind seeing someone try that.
