Yes Man
After a bitter divorce, woeful bank drone Carl Allen falls under the sway of a motivational guru who urges Carl to say yes to everything that comes his way for the next year. Though he struggles initially, will the power of the positive pay off?

Scott Hardie: “It was ok.”

I wasn't expecting much from a high-concept Jim Carrey comedy, just a few silly gags and some clever riffs on the main premise. It delivered, and I would have been satisfied, if not for a wholly manufactured crisis in the third act where the movie forces one character to become extremely dislikable out of nowhere. It ruins the mildly amusing fun.
