Angel Eyes

I am glad to read that you liked it. It didn't do so well in theaters and everyone I've talked to that has seen it was dissapointed. I saw it the day it came out without having seen any trailers and I thought it was fantastic. I hope others can enjoy it too.

If you did a "Ten Best Films of 2001" list, would "Angel Eyes" be on it? I've found in my three years of writing lists that there are always 1-2 movies on mine that nobody else seemed to like at all. Taste is all subjective. Directors rarely think they're making bad movies.

There's a lot of talk about whether the heroine of Brave might be gay because she spends the movie rejecting male suitors. Go »
The Big One
Consider a few of our synonyms for "fat": overweight, overstuffed, overfed, overblown, overproportioned; tubby, chubby, and flubby; full-figured, pot-bellied, thick-set, big-boned, well-girthed, lard-assed, gravitationally-advantaged; abundant, copious, plentiful, and corpulent; obese and adipose, round and rotund, broad and wide, big and large, plump and stout, five-by-five and tons-of-fun; Buddha-like, shovel-fed, and super-sized; portly, chunky, pudgy, sturdy, heavy, roly-poly, weighty, stocky, paunchy, husky, porky, dumpy, fleshy, and fatty. Failure to Deliver
This is very much a first-world problem, I know, but I wonder if I'm alone in this. With being stuck at home, Kelly and I have started ordering somewhat often from restaurant delivery services like DoorDash, UberEats, Grubhub, and so on. Go »
UHF
Matt and Kelly have been telling me for years to watch this movie, and tonight I finally did, thanks to a midnight showing on UPN. Go »

Not much to say about this movie that I didn't say in my Thorough Movie Review. It was good. There is a romance, but that, to me, is not the real point of the film. Also, if you've seen the trailers, and you think you know the ending - you don't. At least, that's the way it was for me. I could explain that more, but I don't want to give spoilers. Go rent this movie. It's not a bad use of two hours.
