Me myself I just rescued a few animals. We have 2 cats that we have had forever that are 13 years old. Then we rescued a chihuahua terrier dog that is 7 months old. Real good dog even though my cats hate him. My son opened up the door the other day when the temperature was real cold outside and let in a seal point Siamese cat. I am all for rescuing animals. I hate when people abuse them. Which rescue do you work for?

People do cruel things to animals. People do cruel things to people too. It's a sick world. But attitudes are evolving, slowly. A few generations ago, this would not have caused outrage or been considered an aberration.
One thing I don't get about the animal rights movement is why its serious adherents don't reject PETA's crude publicity stunts more noisily.
