After waiting for server traffic to come down to a level where the program no longer crashes, the time has come: Simpsonize yourself, export the image, save it as jpg, and send it to me via the photo upload form. I'll publish what everyone sends, starting tonight.

What's up? Program not working? Too much trouble? I figured after South Park, you folks would be all over this. :-)

Had great difficulty getting it to you. It downloaded to my desktop just fine but submitting it on the Goo photo form led to an error message that the file selected was either blank or corrupt. I manipulated the file enough times that I sent it successfully (I thought). Are you saying you did not get mine?

I'm an idiot. Yes, I did get them, I just overlooked them. Sorry for the trouble.

Seriously I don't know if that program actually does much with your photo! It seems the basic template for each Simpsonized person is pretty much the same, only modified by the details you tell it about your gender, age, and hairstyle. Some experimentation shows that it kind of seems to pick up on hair color (except it made my hair a DARK, DARK brown which I like to believe is inaccurate, I made it lighter manually)

I agree, Denise. I think the photo is just to set the defaults, and maybe to reduce the number of people using it since that's a big barrier to cross when you start. I'd prefer something more like the South Park tool.

It sorta looks like me..sorta.

I think they're all pretty good likenesses, actually...

Haha! Lori, upon revisiting this discussion I just now noticed that we're wearing the same outfit, only with different colors of shirt!!! ;-DDD (And though purple is actually my favorite, I picked that blue to go with my current photo here -- they didn't offer one that said "Big in Japan", though... ;-D)
