I run down the darkened street, crossing through yards, taking shelter in garages with open doors, but still he finds me. No matter where I run and hide, Freddy Krueger keeps appearing with his claws, ready to slice me up. At some point while I'm running, I actually think to myself, "Didn't I used to know somebody who was really afraid of Freddy? Didn't he used to have nightmares about him? It's so lame that anybody could ever have a nightmare about Freddy Krueger."

Know what gave me nightmares when I was about ten was those damn Oompah-Loompahs from Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Is that lame or what? Scary little bastards.

In the original version of the book, the Oompa Loompas were pygmies from Africa.

Last Halloween, Ed Tegge dressed up as the biggest Oompah Loompa ever. (He's about 6'5".) I don't suppose you have any photos of this, Lori?
