John Gunter and John Edwards are right in the hurricane's path. John Viola and I are far enough inland that we'll face heavy rains and power outages later today, but probably no damages. It's passing Dave Mitzman now, probably without incident.

The one day I get off of work for a natural disaster is the one day Anna doesn't start a whole bunch of new discussions. ;-)

Hey, I can start some. Just hang on one minute.

Correction: Now the hurricane has shifted, and will miss Tampa Bay completely. It's still going to pass near to me in Sarasota, so I'm hoping it continues to shift in the hours to come. I'm busy working on TC5.

Scott...My mother lost her house in Punta Gorda..or more correctly El Jobean. I missed gaming on Saturday helping my parents with their home.

Damn, Bob; sorry to hear that. We were wondering if something had happened to you because of the storm. I wish the best to your parents in getting back on their feet.

I don't think so, no. It might have affected his ability to get a cellular signal or something like that.

I've lived in Florida most of my life and have had to deal with hurricanes for just as long. Hurricanes are kind of like tornadoes as far as something that we have to deal with on an annual basis.

Certain parts of the state seem to be less of a target for the storms, but you never know when one will be coming your way. That's why you buy insurance to deal with the after effects of the storm. Course, the only problem with insurance is that you don't get to replace those items which are important to you, but it does allow you to rebuild your home.

Bob, hope everything is ok with your mother, we did miss you at the game but it's completely understandable why you couldn't be there.

John
