'Dying in sleep' linked to sleep apnea (link)

Wow! Next I bet they're going to link dying at the wheel of a car to driving.

Seems to be a rather harsh indictment, Scott... reading the article, it didn't strike me as completely frivolous or without merit (except for those poor lab rats, of course :-( sniff) -- don't you think that it sheds even a little bit of light into why old people seem to snore so much??? ;-D

Yeah, Scott! Speaking for the scientific community, f*** off! ;D

Hey now, I was just making fun of a silly headline. News editors who write the headlines for science stories are often stuck phrasing them as the glaringly obvious: "Dieting difficulties linked to high fat intake", et cetera. Then again, some headlines are funnier for other reasons: (link)

WOO HOO -- ALL RIGHT!!! (I just knew it couldn't be the sugar's fault... ;-DDD)

I knew it! This is a monumental discovery, on par with the revelation from Big Tobacco that smoking doesn't cause cancer!
