Lazer Tag: Embracing 80s Nostalgia
What do you think of the new 2012 Lazer Tag?

That looks so awesome....If they came up with that for Iphones etc everybody would be playing :)

Pretty soon, the phones will just replace the laser guns.
Like many children of the 80s, I thought Lazer Tag was a cool idea, but couldn't get the toys to work correctly. I finally lost interest in it when, as a fat schlubby adult, I accompanied a friend and his two kid brothers to an arena. Ten minutes to fit the chest piece over my torso securely, ten minutes of safety lecture, and ten minutes of running around sweaty in the dark trying not to bump into the maze walls. It was not a highlight of that particular trip.
What I like about Lazer Tag is the attempt to merge a video game experience with reality. If the new phone enhancements can have some kind of augmented reality element, like targeting projected onto the image of the other player, that can make it even better.
