Kelly and I have the truck, finally. We were an hour late driving to Quincy today to get the truck because we left late and (in the first place) underestimated how long it would take. But three minutes after we arrived, the owner pulled up with the trailer we were going to use after picking it up across town, so we'd have had to wait an hour. That's a weird sign. Anyway, Kelly spent the day at Amtgard and is now hanging out with friends, and I've been sleeping off a sudden illness. We plan to pack for the next two days straight, drive on Tuesday and Wednesday, and return the truck by Thursday. We have the truck until Saturday afternoon, so we should be okay. The goo game will be updated on time. If there are any changes to our plans, I'll mention them here as a comment. The only bad thing so far, besides being so behind? No tape deck in the truck, which means my Discman won't work unless I get real creative. For a long time, I've wanted to get a mini tape recorder to dictate notes to myself like people in movies do (Liam Neeson in "The Haunting" comes to mind for some reason), and I could buy one before I leave to compose stories, plan gaming sessions, do whatever on the road. Should I?

You can buy an adapter for your discman that will broadcast the music over a low frequency radio signal. It comes through on your radio in the truck at something like 89.5.

Thanks for the input. I'm going to Wal*Mart in a minute here with the intention to buy a tape recorder, and I'll look for that broadcast adapter. I might have a use for that in Florida, where I'll want my music in two rooms at once...
