So many favorites here too. Just a few in no particular order:
Elephant. Ridiculously silly and tacky, but so earnest and eager to entertain. Like the whole movie, this scene goes to 11.
Bad cop. A scene that will live in fanboy worship for eternity. Heath Ledger is just plain fascinating.
Fuck you. Whatever the profane words may say, this is a bold love letter to NYC. Spike Lee improves on the famous scene from Do the Right Thing.
The ball thing. Nobody mentions that pure being will give you brain damage.
Green destiny. The old veteran can't keep up with the irreverent youth. Their dance is something else.
Reunion. I've noticed a recent backlash against this movie, here and elsewhere, but I still think it's one of the best-acted movies this decade, and this scene has a lot to do with that.
Dreamscape. The wordless middle chapter of the movie shows that the teenage runaway isn't just adrift physically.
Canterbury. A stunning shot. I love movies that start mundane and turn serious on a dime (again Do the Right Thing), and this scene packs that punch.
Wonderful. U.S. foreign intervention gets a scathing criticism. The list could be expanded in the eight years since.
I'm on a boat! This scene was not actually in Ponyo, but oh do I wish it was.

In regards to the "Green Destiny" scene. I'd love to see a deleted scene where a carpenter, a stone mason, and the furniture maker are called in for service repairs. You'd think that after a while, the homeowners would stop putting so much easily destroyed furniture in their fighting arena room.

The AV Club has published their favorite movie scenes of the decade. I see some of my favorites on the list, and you might too.
Besides the ones listed, what are some of this decade's movie scenes that will stick with you in years to come, and why?
