Kurt Vonnegut has passed away....

I guess I'm the only Vonnegut fan at TC.

I read a lot of his books in high school and not because I had to. I think my first was Slaughterhouse Five, but I'm not certain on that. He had a unique sense of humor and way of writing that kept me turning the pages, unlike Catch-22 by Heller.

Same here. In fact, I've only ever been assigned one of his books in a college classroom. Former classmates Anna and Scott will probably at least partially recall Breakfast of Champions, which was one of his more unusual books.

Yeah...I read that one, Deadeye Dick, Cat's Cradle and several more. Hmmm...maybe it's time to revisit a few of them :).

Kurt Vonnegut is one of the great ones. I've refrained from comment on his death out of a vague sense that he would ridicule anything I might say.
