That is pretty amusing... I think the interstates name is fine. There's no need to change it. Of course, I'm not a religious wacko either... :)

Scott Horowitz | November 15, 2004
When will there be legislation to change the names of Intercourse, PA or Blue Ball, PA?

Mike Eberhart | November 15, 2004
Don't you mean Intercourse, Pa?

Scott Horowitz | November 15, 2004
Yeah, oops... fixed it in my post. Don't try typing a post while on the phone with someone.

I want an I-69 lapel pin, too.

Scott Horowitz | November 15, 2004
Does your husband know that, Amy?

Amy Austin | November 15, 2004
Man, I bought a T-shirt (and shot glass!) for him from our Marine squadron on the last cruise -- VMFA-314, aka "the Black Knights" -- whose motto is "Once a Knight is Never Enough!" And I'm still waiting for him to take the hint!

I still remember visiting rural Virginia and driving down the Powhite Parkway.

If there's one thing I'll never understand about religion, it is its ability to assign a moral value to something that is absolutely neutral. "69" isn't even a thing; it's a mathematical value, a conceptual notion only. How can it possibly be "moral" just because it has taken on a sexual connotation? It's still just a number, one greater than 68 and one less than 70. I can maybe agree with changing the name to give teenagers one less thing to snigger about (let's rename Uranus while we're at it), but that's not why the Congressman wants it changed. I can't bring myself to agree with his reasons if I can't bring myself to understand them.

If the public rallies against this proposal, I hope Sammy Hagar rewrites one of his hits to give them an anthem.

Amy Austin | November 16, 2004
But Scott -- he had another reason... the highway numbering system. How legitimate that is, I cannot claim to know -- but I'd rather see it changed on those grounds than because of teenagers' "Uranus Syndrome" ;DDD

The whole thing is rather ridiculous, though... considering that the highway hasn't even been built/completed yet!!!

Of course! And let's not forget that our dear president, who was just re-elected for his high moral values, has a sexually-associated and thus immoral last name. No wonder he cheated!

I just heard that people are outraged with ABC on the radio this morning. To kick off Monday Night Football, they showed Nicolette Sheridan (from Desperate Housewives) run into Terrell Owens arms while she was in only a towel. I swear, I fucking hate the moral majority.

Mike Eberhart | November 17, 2004
I'd be outraged too, only because I hate Terrell Owens... :)

The best anti-Republican bumper sticker I've ever seen!!! ;DDDD

Deirdre DeLay | November 28, 2004
Whenever I hear "69" I think of Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. When you say it, you must say it right!
"69 DUDE!" and play air guitar. (Can ya see it in your head?)

Ya know if you think about it, 52 is a little naugty too. Ya know those nasty French should stop saying "trois" because I always think of "Manage au trois"... We may need to monitor the whole number system! Is it getting hot in here?

And how did the boys find out Rufus's name in the first place, since they're the ones who introduced him to themselves?

You're not thinking fourth dimensionally.
