To whom would you give a Presidential Medal of Freedom if the choice was up to you?

Greta Thunburg is so right it's painful to reflect on US government inaction. Another damning instance of our national embarrassment of a former president. Other presidents made at least token efforts to make improvements to reduce our carbon footprint but even those were not enough. A Presidential Medal of Freedom can only awaken responsible people and start taking her seriously. It may already be too late.

Reading the list of recipients, I'm kind of surprised and disappointed at how few scientists have been recognized. Albert Einstein, Jane Goodall, Nikola Tesla, Carl Sagan, Richard Feynman, and George Washington Carver would all make excellent first-time recipients. Thomas Edison hasn't gotten one either, but he's been over-recognized in the past and I'd leave it to another president to give him this honor.
