This was a surprisingly effective, enormously silly movie and a great break from the year. Eurovision is very ridiculous and makes a great satirical point. Light comic satire of Iceland and the Eurozone round this out a bit along with a great running gag about trolls. McAdams is amazingly able to keep up with Ferrell throughout.

I’m not always a fan of Farrell. Sometimes he’s just too much for me. But this movie was fantastic. I didn’t expect to like McAdams as much as I did. And, surprisingly, the music was actually pretty good!
