Kubo and the Two Strings
2016
Young Kubo's peaceful seaside existence is abruptly upended when he unintentionally conjures a spirit from the past and soon finds himself on the run from a horde of gods and monsters, including the ruthless Moon King.

Evie Totty: “It ruled.”

For me this is the best animated film this year (to be fair - I have not seen Dory or Sing yet).

A story that isn't a recycled Disney. The animation was cool.

I wish I could think of more to say about this as well. I just know that I highly recommend it and look forward to seeing it again and again on Netflix.
