Today is a banner day for me. I'm picking up Scott Hardie at the airport tonight and making my first in-person contact with Goo person!

Tomorrow we are infiltrating the nerve center of the redneck universe: the Nextel All-Star Challenge. That's right. NASCAR.

Scott may never be the same.

Pretty good time so far, except for the food poisoning. More when I get back.

Steve Dunn | May 20, 2007
Scott survived. Barely.

Scott, it was NOT food poisoning. It hit me last night like a freight train. Fortunately, I was at home instead of the inhospitable alien world of NASCAR. Now that I know exactly how you felt, I can't believe you handled it as well as you did.

We had some kind of bug, man.

Logical Operator tells my version of the weekend: (link)

Sorry you got pummeled too, Steve. I still think it was food poisoning from one of the two fried appetizers we shared; if Kelli and the baby are fine, then we know which one. It doesn't really matter, I guess.

It was just the result of too much redneckery for one weekend. You'll be fine eventually, but I hope y'all learned your lesson! :P

Glad to hear that (illness aside) a good time was had!!

Scott, I love your new avatar because it reminds me of what came just a short while later: "unlock the door BLAARGH oh my god BLAWWG HUFF fuck me BLAAUGH I'm so sorry Steve BLARRG fuck me in the ass BLAOOCK sorry about the van BLAAGH HUFF HUFF."

For someone on the edge of nausea... who just walked two miles and has a couple more yet to go... who is surrounded by 175,000 drunk rednecks and one drunk internet pal... you're pulling off a convincing grin.

Thank you. I do have the advantage of choosing from several photos taken within a minute of each other, some less happy. I did actually enjoy myself at the race when the waves of nausea temporarily subsided, but in retrospect I spent most of that weekend in a quiet haze and I fear you didn't really get to know me. Friday night was the real me.
