I lean a bit to the right but I don't oppose marijuana use, medical or recreational. I pretty much equate it with alcohol use. Indulge or don't, it's up to you at a legal age.

After years of strongly favoring gun control legislation like my fellow liberals, I have been persuaded that the right to own them is constitutionally protected and that all Americans should defend this right from encroachment whether they enjoy the right or not, in the Voltairian sense. I can get behind that. But I still think that America's cultural love of guns and sky-high rates of gun violence are a poison in our society that we are in deep denial about, even if the laws shouldn't change.
