Letterman vs. White House

Of course, by now, someone in the blogosphere has undoubtedly figured out whether the stuff is real or not. Whatever. What I would like to know is who is actually posting this footage... some blogger somewhere deserves credit. (I just swiped the link from someone else who stole it and did not give credit.)

That's what drives me crazy about the internet sometimes - all the stealing and swapping and not knowing if something is real. That said, the internet has kept me in touch with people I probably wouldn't know now, it's kept information at my fingertips in a way I never could have imagined, and it keeps me busy learning and experiencing news and art at a break-neck pace.

You sent me a message? First of all, it always looks like I'm online even when I'm away, because my AIM doesn't work right. Second, what's your IM?
Also - if you did it during the day, you probably got my boyfriend instead and he ignored it. I'm only home from 6ish on.

The ads for tonight's episode mention that CNN apologized to the Late Show. Right on.

The kid is scheduled to appear on Letterman tonight, for anybody still following along.

Lucky kid. He looks bored and gets to be on the Tonight Show? Life is so unfair.

In case you missed it, the Late Show played a clip of a boy less than interested at a Bush fundraiser. When the White House told CNN that the Late Show had made the whole thing up, that's when Dave went on the defensive. Funny stuff, if you ask me. I'm inclined to believe it's authentic footage, because if the Late Show had doctored it, their response to CNN would have been "well, duh."
