"1 in 5 Americans mistakenly thinks Obama is a Muslim." (link) Look, I think the whole Muslim thing is silly, too. But journalists and pundits make it out like these people just aren't aware that Obama is a Christian and goes to church, as if ignorance is the problem. Isn't it much more likely that they believe he's lying and is secretly a Muslim? And that's the responders who are answering honestly, not just spreading a falsehood because it sounds good. Some people are just sincerely confused, but I doubt they're the whole 20%. "1 in 5 Americans believes Obama is a Muslim" sounds a lot closer to the truth.
