My husband and his twin brother now have a roots rock radio show every Wednesday from 1 to 3 PM (central time). I know nobody cares but I just thought I'd mention it :). Anyone can listen at (link)

No, that's cool, Denise... I might just give it a listen -- always fun to know a "celebrity" or two... ;-DDD

WooHoo! My brush with celebrity. I'll listen if only to say later, "Yep, I knew her when..." Best of luck in wherever this may lead to hubby and bandmates. And BTW, lots of us care.

Um well - thanks for caring :) They will probably play one of their own band's songs per week, since nobody has seemed to object to this yet, but mostly they'll play their favorite bands. This is at the college radio station though so, um, don't expect it to be exactly like a radio show by someone who actually has a *job* as a DJ. I hope I can take off work and go on the air with them myself once, and inflict my twee pop on the ears of the three listeners they may have. As painfully shy people, this is a bigger deal to us than maybe it should be :)

Heheh... well, that's what makes it cool, Denise! And I've always thought that college radio was the best kind -- even if there are only three listeners! -- so don't downplay it... COOL!

I wanted to start a radio show of just me and a few of my friends bitching. (Mitz would have been our movie reviewer) But I realized that we're not funny, so I stopped the idea.

It's show day again and they're thinking of starting up a weekly ice cream review segment. Not sure if this is even admissable however - there is a big sign in the studio saying "Don't talk about what you had for breakfast, it's boring" and we sometimes have ice cream for breakfast... :)

Fargo is OK, Jackie. I always thought people are a lot friendlier and more accepting overall in Chicago (I lived there for a year).
