Scott Hardie | August 27, 2020
During Tuesday night's video call, I had a blast running a trivia game for Erik, Kelly, and Steve. My favorite category involved rebuses: I showed a series of pictures that spelled out the name of an artist from rock music or pop music, and the players guessed the name.

I've decided to recreate this online so that everyone on the site has a chance to play. I'll present all 17 rebuses from the live game, along with several new rebuses so that Erik, Kelly, and Steve get some new content to play.

Here's the plan:
• I'll post a rebus here in this discussion.
• If you think you know the answer, please do not reply with your guess. Instead, send it to me in a private message.
• I will not respond to each guess, sorry, but you can re-guess if you think you had it wrong.
• I will wait at least 24 hours for everyone to have a chance to play. (Please be patient as my schedule can be full some days.)
• After that, I will post the answer, along with a list of who guessed right.
• I'll repeat these steps for the next rebus.

Have fun!

Scott Hardie | October 24, 2020
Erik, Steve, and Denise all solved I Met a Yeti. Two of them mentioned they had never heard of this band before now, and I won't lie, neither had I. It's included for Samir, of course. Back when I was preparing the original game to be played live on the video call, once I had used a photo of Erik for Eric Clapton and a photo of Steve for Steve Winwood, I felt like I'd be leaving out Chris or Kelly (the other anticipated attendees) if I didn't make rebuses out of their names too. Then the pattern continued on the website with anyone who solved a rebus, and the whole thing got a little out of hand. Something like a third of these rebuses have been based on Funeratic members! It's gotten a little silly. Let's just be glad that certain former members are not participating.

Anyway, here's #30:

If you think you know the name of this artist, send it to me privately.

This was part of the live game, so Erik, Kelly, and Steve cannot guess this one.

Here's the 32nd and final rebus, by Steve West:

Thanks for sending me this, Steve! I enjoyed playing it. I know you didn't intend it for the website when you made it, but I didn't intend mine for the website either and I think they turned out fine, so let's all have some fun with it. :-)

If you think you know the name of this artist, send it to me privately.

Scott Hardie | October 29, 2020

I will continue to add more if they come in, because this game doesn't have to end. ;-)

Scott Hardie | November 30, 2020
Erik's rebus was Queens of the Stone Age. Tricky one, Erik! I liked it. Steve, Samir, Russ, Denise, and I all solved it.
