A recent study shows that when people are shown meat, they become less aggressive. At least men do. This flies in the face of logic when I ponder the family gathering at Thanksgiving with each member looking as if they'll stab your hand with a carving fork if you dare to get near their giblets. As an undeniable and shameless carnivore, I can attest to the soothing powers of a nice braised leg of mutton. Which poses the question: Which meat is the most soothing to you?
