I feel I have a lot of friends on here, and I'd like to meet them. So, here's my idea. If you are travelling somewhere, post it here, and let's see who you can meet up with. I'm not going anywhere yet, but I thought it'd be interesting if this could work out.

It'd be nice if you left long island and never came back. Then we can relax in peace...

I mean, if you go anywhere, have a great trip!

I think the only place I'd be visiting any time soon is Florida (and Israel in June), but if anybody finds themselves in NY, give a shout. I'd be down for tossing back a few brews with some fellow TC'ers

Whatever happened to the visit between Steve and Anthony? Did that happen? My memory's no good.

No clue if Anthony and Steve hooked up. That was in 2004 just before I moved back from Florida. I'm guessing Anthony pretty much abandoned this board a la Melissa Erin.

Erik, I'll be in Chicago next weekend for Jackie's wedding. Unless the rehearsal dinner is not family-only like I assumed (you tell me, Jackie), then I'm free Friday evening to hang out. What time are you free and should I find you at the campus? I'll have a rental car.Anna, Lori, Dave S, care to join us? Truth is, ever since getting together with Anna, Kris, and Melissa Erin last October, I've wanted to organize some kind of GOO/TC convention some weekend. I haven't gotten around to it for the same reason I haven't around to everything else, but I'd still like to, ideally on a weekend when one of us isn't getting married and can join the group. :-)

I think a goo meet would be cool I wonder if people would go somewhere for this only. I'd probably would. Just, let's go to a Loews hotel, so that Mitz can get me a cheap room.

Sure thing. I'm thinking about a return trip around Labor Day so I can spend one day with you and Ray, another with Anna and Jesse, and a third with Jackie and Will.

Next weekend, July 1st and 2nd? I'll be doing stuff with family on the 1st but maybe could do something on the 2nd.

Well, it's just an idea so far. I can come on another weekend. I don't relish the idea of flying on the same weekend as the rest of the country anyway. Let me think about a date later in September.

Well, Jackie, there's a flip side to the wedding deal. My wife went out of her way to make sure WE talked to every guest for at least a few minutes. It worked out great, except we had (according to our guests) the BEST food at our reception. Of course, my wife and myself can barely remember the food because we kind of rushed through everything to make sure we talked with all of our guests.

Of course, there are those (my wife, for example) who will say that great food comes and goes but the memories made will last a life time. Me, I like food, and I see all the guests (mostly family) on a pretty regular basis! ;) The only thing I remember is the cake, which was pretty bland. :(
