I didn't realize that Steve Dunn and Amy Austin were the same age until both hit the same milestone round number this month. I'm nearing it myself, so I'm starting to appreciate what a weird age it feels like. Even Louis C.K. had trouble putting it into words.

Amy and Steve, you've been good friends to me, and I'm very glad to have gotten to know you. I wish you both good health and good luck in this year and beyond. Happy birthdays! :-)

Not long ago, I thought 40 was old. In light of recent events, I now know 40 is very, very young. This birthday, like every birthday, and every other day, is reason to celebrate.

It's not wrong to wish for more. We all do, at every age. It keeps us going. I'm glad that you have those things to be grateful for. :-)
