It's been a while since I've posted (I actually have work to do at my job now), but I think we're all do for a list of things that have pissed me off in the last year:

- People not walking on escalators in the subway station making me miss my train
- Overhyped movie sequels that suck
- I know this is this year, but it scares me, Mike Huckabee winning Iowa
- WGA Strike, I understand their point, but I don't want to watch reality TV
- George W. Bush (How could I leave him out?)
- Oil Prices
- My company's payroll schedule voodoo dance
- Boston winning the world series
- Patriots going undefeated
- Celtics looking like they're going to win
- Losing Joe Torre
- The Mitchell Report
- Nissan-Infiniti Leasing Corporation

That's all I can think of now, if anything else comes up I'll add to it.

regardless of whether I miss a train this one pisses me off to no end if you don't want to walk stay to the right the left hand side is for people to walk

- Overhyped movie sequels that suck
yup this has definitely been the year of the sucky sequal

- I know this is this year, but it scares me, Mike Huckabee winning Iowa
if he wasn't such a fruitcake I could almost like the guy....hillary losing to Obama made my morning though

- WGA Strike, I understand their point, but I don't want to watch reality TV
plus they have now lost more money than they stood to gain

- George W. Bush (How could I leave him out?)
how many days left???? too many sadly

- Oil Prices
it's getting too close to the prices I paid when I was living in japan....

- Boston winning the world series
- Patriots going undefeated
- Celtics looking like they're going to win

I fail to see a problem here

- Losing Joe Torre
well I was gonna say something witty or maybe mean here but I can't the Yankees were just wrong

- The Mitchell Report
waste of paper....nothing in it was any kind of revelation nor does it help the future of baseball much since it doesn't really give any answers....besides which Jose Canseco's book is better reading

my big gripe is the United States Navy screwing with me during my last year before retirement

People who think that they know what they're talking about, and in reality haven't a clue. This is especially prevalent around political discussions with elections rapidly approaching.

All this talk about an asterisk. Get over it. They didn't take John Elway's rings away from him, or put an asterisk next to his name when it was discovered the Broncos had cheated the sallary cap those years.

Way too many stars that NO ONE CARES ABOUT being in the news day in and day out. I'm sick of Britney, Lyndsay Lohan, OJ, and I don't even remember all who else. Too many of them, no one cares, put them all on a bus, and drive it off a cliff. Problem Solved.

Well, the Bruins still aren't that great...we have that! :)

I think that there's a slight difference between crooked management cheating the salary cap, and taking illegal substances to improve your personal athletic ability and shatter records, but I'm with you. I don't think the records can get taken away from him, of course, and an asterisk is just petty. I think the real question is whether or not it comes into the conversation when it's time for Bonds to be elected into the Hall of Fame. I think it almost has to be a factor, but I don't know if (at this time) it's really enough to prevent him from going in. Pete Rose isn't in yet, and I think it could be a similar situation for Bonds. Not that I really want to poke at your gripes, Eric!

I don't have any gripes of my own... :( Or at least nothing that lasts longer than a few weeks. The only good thing about having a short memory! My biggest gripe really, and it's every year, is people who justify what they do by pointing out that other things are worse. Like you can plausibly deny any type of wrong-doing if you can find someone who has done something worse, or a worse situation.

Hey, I might have a problem with buying too many shoes, but Imelda Marcos was worse than I am...

Hey, driving while high on pot might be bad, but drunk driving kills more people...

Hey, I be a mass-murderer, but at least I don't sexually assault the corpses...

And bad movies...I can't wait to see the Top Ten of 2007, Scott! Good luck with that! :)

Working on it! On a similar note to your sole gripe, Aaron, I get bothered by people who say it's ok that they make fun of one person/group all the time because they also pick on themselves, or because they pick on all groups. How is calling someone a racial slur canceled out if you also call your own people by a racial slur? Doesn't that just mean you're offensive to twice as many people?

Oh I wasn't referring to Bonds, Aaron, I was referring to the "Cameragate" scandal surrounding the Patriots. Was it wrong? Yes. Were they punished? Yes. Did they go undefeated this year because of these tapes? Hah, no. Steroids are a completely different beast, and I wish some of these leagues would hand out significantly more severe punishments for using them.

Aaron Shurtleff | January 7, 2008
Oh! In that case, I've already heard rumblings of the Pats doing so well due to help from the officiating crews in their various games. The popular theory is that the NFL really wanted the undefeated year to boost ratings. *grin* Hogwash, of course, but... I think Belicheck has the same problem Bonds has, they are just so genuinely unlikable that you want them to fail so badly that you make more drama than you need to on them.

Sorry to hijack the topic. What else pisses you off, Scott?

Tony Peters | January 7, 2008
I don't know about that Aaron I've seen a lot of shady calls go against the Pats, and I've seen the Pats win a couple of games that they probably shouldn't have won either by luck of the stupidity of their opponent. But the thing is even in the second half of the season, they seem to be able to put together enough of a good showing to win the game. This weekends game shouldn't be a problem but THE GAME of the year will likely be next weekend when the Colts come to town. After that the Superbowl is really gonna be a let down

sorry I hijacked too

My point about Boston isn't them cheating, is that I dislike the city

Tony Peters | January 8, 2008
well that's a bit more exceptable there is little I care for in Norfolk Va. or most of the state of Florida for that matter. There fore I dislike all teams from Florida except the Gators and the Jaguars
